On Tuesday November 14th I ordered a Roku Streaming Stick 4K from the Roku website. It arrived on Saturday November 18th. That afternoon I went through the steps to order the Free HDMI Extender for it and the process was successful and it said it was processing.
That was six days ago and the extender never arrived. I only received one update on the USPS tracking website saying that a shipping label was created and nothing further after that. Now it looks like my item never actually shipped and has been lost, I've contacted USPS and gotten no response.
I need Roku's help. Something obviously went wrong with this process and I need Roku to resend another extender if the item was lost because It's been nearly a week and I've gotten nothing.
The order number for my HDMI Extender is: 107025934
The serial number for my Roku Streaming Stick 4K that I entered to order the extender is: S0J7338V6FTY
The USPS tracking number says the following when I check the status:
"Pre-Shipment
Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item
GARDENA, CA 90248
November 20, 2023, 4:35 pm"
So they created a shipping label and are 'Awaiting Item' that never arrived.
I would like to point out this issue never would have occurred if the Free HDMI Extender was simply included in the Roku packaging with the Roku Stick, power cord and Remote like it should have been!
Roku please help!
There's nothing special about the Roku HDMI extender, it's just a short (4 inches or so) HDMI extension cord with an HDMI plug at one end and an HDMI socket at the other.
If you really need one for your installation, you may be able to find an HDMI extension locally or at a non-Roku online vendor and get one faster than trying to deal with Roku on this issue.
Or use a female-to-female HDMI connector to connect your Roku Stick to a regular (non-extension) HDMI cord.
