Hello,
I am having a great deal of difficulty getting my Roku Ultra to work properly. My wifi is working fine, the menu displays, but all my apps only have audio, no video. I have tried numerous fixes over the last three days, but nothing is helping. I have made sure the HDMI cable is properly connected, I am using the power plug provided with the unit when purchased, I went to home and hit reset. I plugged and unplugged both the TV and the Roku. I made sure the display was set to 1080 (older tv) and when it asks, "can you see the picture provided",I answer yes, but THAT didn't work either. What is left? I did not do a factory reset because I don't want to go to the trouble of reestablishing all my accounts. Does this mean the unit has gone bad? Any help is appreciated.
Mary
Hi @BuckeyeInsider_ ,
Welcome to the Roku Community!
Thank you for reporting your concern about your Roku Ultra when you watch content on any channel, there is no video. We're more than happy to help.
We highly suggest you try to restart your modem for 10 seconds, and if the issue is persistent, kindly proceed to the next steps below.
After the network reset is done, your Roku device will restart and you will need to return to the Settings menu and set up your wireless network again.
If it still does not work, we recommend you try connecting your Roku TV to a mobile hotspot if you have cellular data from your phone.
How to connect to a mobile hotspot:
If you have an iOS device, refer to Apple's documentation on setting up a personal hotspot.
If you have an Android device, refer to Google's documentation on sharing a mobile connection by hotspot.
Please note: Hotspot capability is dependent on your mobile device and mobile service provider. Downloading updates for your streaming device can consume large amounts of data.
Please keep us posted.
Regards,
Riamie
