How does app knows device location in my house?
I have a Roku receiver hooked up to a TV in my bedroom. I have a TCL Roku smart tv in the living room.
When I open the Roku app on my phone, it accurately labels the devices "Bedroom" and "living room".
I did not lable or select the location for these devices.

Re: How does app knows device location in my house?
Hi @Natbilli,
Thanks for reaching out to the Roku Community.
When you activate your Roku streaming player or Roku TV you can choose a name and location for your device which is helpful for managing multiple Roku streaming devices in your Roku account, the Roku mobile app, or when using AirPlay or screen mirroring.
Perhaps, during the activation or someone in the household updated the name of your Roku device. You can see more here: How to update the name and location of your Roku device
Let us know if you need additional assistance.
Regards,
Nimfa
