Channel submitted in December is still pending review.

Anyone knows what is the current turnaround time for channel submissions?

Re: Channel submitted in December is still pending review.

We are in the same boat. It is very disappointing to our team. Regardless of when our channel is finally reviewed, the lack of communication and professionalism in this area has forced us to find a different avenue to deliver video to our users' TVs. As the lead who championed Roku in my organization, this has been a disaster.

Its normally a couple of weeks, excluding holidays.

You might want to fire a private message over to one of the Roku people, see whats holding it up, they are normally quite helpful.

I've just PM'ed someone at Roku for you, hope you get it resolved soon.

Re: Channel submitted in December is still pending review.

I did send a mail to my account manager a couple of days ago. I don't want to bug them too much either, I know they're flooded with requests of all sorts!
Roku has expanded dramatically, but the staff hasn't.

It would be great to have an estimate for channels approval though.
Broadcasters cannot wait at the last minute before starting to promote their new channel!

Any word on this? I have some clients that are getting uneasy.

Re: Channel submitted in December is still pending review.

Similarly, I have submitted 2 Roku Channels during the week of January 16th and I am interested in learning more about my status on the queue and a rough estimate of when my channels will be reviewed based on the current backlog.

Re: Channel submitted in December is still pending review.

I was going to start a thread about this but then noticed this existing thread and thought I'd reply to this instead.

It's been one month since we submitted our app. We sent out an email newsletter to over 43,000 listeners nearly a month ago saying that our Roku app would be published sometime this month. We based this on the "two week" turn-around estimate that we saw somewhere within the submitting process (can't remember exactly where).
We're about to send out our March Newsletter, and we still haven't been published or even heard anything as to whether our app is acceptable as-is.
During this month that our Roku app has been sitting in queue, we were able to from scratch design our own Amazon Fire TV Box app, submit it, fix a few bugs/errors under the Amazon Developer Team's guidance, re-submit it and subsequently get it published to the Amazon Fire TV app store.
Is there any way we can find out how much longer until our app is reviewed? If nothing else, we would like to put in our forthcoming newsletter that we received a response from Roku with an estimate (assuming the app is accepted as-is).
Thank you for any help and guidance you can give us with this.

It's unfortunate that Roku isn't keeping up with public channel publications. In the meantime, however, have you considered publishing your channel as a Private Channel, and e-mailing your 43,000 listeners the link to add it to their Rokus, something they'd be able to do today? When it finally gets published you can put a message up on the private channel telling them to go to the Channel Store to get the public version.
