Video Poker Channel Not Working

I can no longer access the channel. After accessing the channel store, it no longer shows on my list of channels. It shows in the store, and when I click "go to channel" it just takes me back to the main screen. Is this channel no longer?

An update has just been published, Please go to the channel store to make sure you get the latest version.

Maybe you exceeded the 30 channel limit, delete some less used channels and then try adding the Poker Channel.

did you ever get video poker to work?  I am also having the same problem. contacted customer service several times. still not working..unsubscribed and re subscribed several time. still doesn't work

Assuming you're speaking of this Video Poker, I think I know what's wrong.  It has to be updated for the recent v12 update.  No promises on when that will happen as I'll probably do a major feature update (that many will probably hate 🙂) at the same time.  My enthusiasm for Roku development is practically nonexistent at this point.

We just replaced our roku streaming stick with another roku streaming stick 4k..Set up went well...all channels work EXCEPT video poker..whenever you select the channel it takes you back to the roku home screen..ive contacted customer support several times thru email did ALL the suggestions and it still does not work...their last email said to contact the developer..which I did and was advised to contact roku. I am so frustrated at this point..does anyone have any suggestions?

Which Video Poker game?  I'm guessing you contacted the wrong developer.  I know there's an issue with my game, but when it will be fixed I can't say.  See my post right above yours.

Jim Truscello Video Poker Channel error

I'm not sure if this is the place to seek help for this issue...

The always free Video Poker channel/app developed by Jim Truscello in 2017 just recently about the beginning of Feb 2025, was 'updated' with a subscription option to "bypass ads and nagging screens" for .99 a month.

That offer comes up after you click on one of the 5 different Video Poker variations to play. At which point, you can just click 'continue' (which begins that round of Video Poker. (In 'tournament' mode which lists the top 10 scores of the current hour/last hour/day.)

Ever since the option to 'subscribe' for .99, all the top 10 high score categories read "Scores unavailable".

I've enjoyed the game over the last several years with a good sized 'community' of players all vying the top score of the day. 

While I was never bothered by the 'ads' or 'nagging' screens, (actually never saw THOSE), I decided to click on the subscribe button, thinking maybe the Top 10 scores section would be working again, but they were not. I've checked a couple of times a week and still showing "Scores unavailable".

Sorry for the long post. Just curious as to how to get that feature working again, as that was the best part of that game.  It seems something glitched when the subscribe option was introduced.

Thanks for letting me know.  I'll look into it.  Those two things shouldn't be related.  Do you see the daily high scores for the non-tournament mode?

Hello JT,

   Thank you for the prompt reply.  I'd gladly PM you, but I couldn't find that option on here. Although, you are more than welcomed to PM me. 

   The non-tournament high scores are also affected. However, in a different way. I can send a screen shot that would be much easier than explain. (I also don't see an option on here for attachments.) For now,  the non-tournament scores are not logging scores either. Instead they basically are reading the following: 

"Cannot connect to server" 

The server may be down"

Check your Internet connection"

"Cash out to reset your bankroll to $100, but your score will not be recorded" 

PM me if you like, and I will send you the screenshots if there is an attachment option.
