roku remote won't pair with Element TV Both brand new
Many (most?) Roku TVs come with an IR remote. There's nothing to pair. You need to ensure a clear line of sight between the remote and the TV receiver window. That window is usually along the bottom at one of the corners, but could be more towards the middle as well. I had that problem with a new Samsung TV, because my center speaker was blocking the bottom center of the TV frame, and that's where the receiver window is.
My TV is not a Roku TV. I am using a streaming stick. The new one with headphones

OK, you need to provide details. What model Stick is it? Depending on the model, it might not have the ability to pair with a TV. I realize you said brand new, but older model Roku devices are still sold as new from some sources.
The new roku device i bought is a Roku streaming stick + headphone edition. Model:3811R.

Great, thanks for that information. Have you seen this support page? Besides the basic setup instructions, there's also a link for troubleshooting. What I have not been able to find is a list of supported brands. And it's possible that a different brand name will also work with your TV. I also found this page that offers advice on connecting different remotes to Element TVs. Hope something there helps. I've never programmed a Roku remote to control a TV, as HDMI-CEC has always worked for me.
Did you go to Settings, Remotes & Devices, Remotes, Remote (in use), set up remote for TV control.

try the codes for Seiki tv's?
Are you asking if I followed the instructions in the Roku setup manual and the instructions that appear on the device when activated?
also didn't work, but thanks.
