Thank you for posting here in the Roku Community, @McJagger53!
We appreciate you reaching out for support and we'd be happy to help you utilize the voice command feature on your physical Roku remote.
We'd like to know more about your concern and would be great if you could provide us with additional information such as follows:
- Is this the remote that came with your Roku Streaming Stick device? If not, what is its model? (What Roku remote do I have?)
- Are you able to use the voice command feature the first time you paired this remote to your device? If so, when did you first notice this feature not working?
- Are your other physical Roku remotes experiencing the same issue?
- Is this the only button not working?
In the meantime, you may try the following troubleshooting steps:
Reboot your voice remote
If your voice remote uses standard AA or AAA alkaline batteries, you can reboot it by removing and reinstalling the batteries.
- Remove the battery cover on the back of your remote
- Remove both batteries from the battery compartment
- Re-insert the negative (-) end of a battery first and then gently push the positive (+) end until the battery clicks into place
- Repeat the previous step to install the second battery
- Put the battery cover back on your remote
If your voice remote has a rechargeable battery, follow the steps below below to reboot your remote
- If your rechargeable voice remote has a pairing button, press and hold the pairing button on the back of the remote for 20 seconds.
- If your rechargeable voice remote does not have a pairing button, press and hold the Back and Home buttons simultaneously for about 20 seconds.
We'll be looking forward to your update!
Best regards,
Carly
