(Free App)
Sorry, no. The only solution to a bad remote is a new remote.
You can put the roku remote on your smart phone, that is a bit fiddly or buy an IR remote (good, inexpensive but must be able to see your Roku),or spend a bit more and buy a non IR remote from Amazon.
That is just resetting your Roku. It does nothing to the remote..
Resetting does not stop the remote from draining batteries
this app is not available in your country"
why on earth not??? the hardware is here, you had no problem selling that to me. what's the issue with the application??
Ive been having the same issue with my remotes using up batteries quickley since i bought 3 roku sticks 3 yrs ago. 3 yrs later they still havent solved the issue. Not very environmentally conscious company!!
I just finally gave up with The customer service help . I went and purchased rechargeable batteries. They last longer and cheaper in the long run
Hi Danny, we continue to have the same battery drain issue on only one of our many roku remotes. We tried the factory reset with no luck. Can you help? Thanks
FYI. A couple of alternatives.
They don't fix the real problem which ROKU ought to be doing but may be a better use of time/money.

Hi @Sherlockspal,
Welcome to the Roku Community!
We'd like to take a closer look to see if there's anything else we can suggest to help. Can you please provide us with more specific information about the issue you are experiencing?
In addition, have you tried running the steps on this link to get your remote back up and running?
Keep us posted and we'll continue assisting from there if needed.
Best regards,
Mary
