Kariza,
Thank you for responding. I looked up the SN when I got home from work last night.
The SN on my ROKU Smart Sound Bar is R650AG920092, Model is 9101X.
Thank you for you assistance. Hopefully your engineering team has a fix for the battery draining issue, or maybe I need a new remote.
Appreciate the reply.
I have passed along your information and concern to our Support team. They will follow up and further assist you through email.
All the best,

I recently purchased the Roku smart soundbar but noticed that the batteries drain quickly and I am replacing them at least ever two weeks. The Roku remote that came with my TV does not have that issue. I noticed that the Roku smart soundbar remote has the batteries in parallel where as the Roku TV remote has them in series. Note: All my other remotes all have their batteries in series. This is very annoying but wanted to give you a chance before I take the soundbar back.
I recently purchased a voice remote (in June), and I have to replace the batteries every two weeks. Has a solution been found?
Are the batteries in parallel ("+" at the same end) or series ("+" and "-" at different ends)?
I, too, have begun seeing excessive battery consumption on one of our Roku Streaming Stick+ remotes. My Streaming Stick+ is powered by AC current and Roku running latest software. This is a recently purchased SS+. Would appreciate your advice. — RSH
Hi everyone,
Thanks for the posts.
As stated previously in this thread, if you are experiencing remote battery drain with your device, please provide the serial number of your Roku device from Settings>System>About? I'll be able to assist you further from there.
Thanks,
Danny
Hi, I'm having the same issue with all of my Roku devices except my Roku TV, serial number YH00G2577463 software ver. 10.0.0 build 4209-50. I have 2 more identical sticks and over the past few months I've noticed that each of them have been running through batteries every couple weeks. I feel like I replace the batteries in one remote and a few days later I have to do it again in another remote.
I really like my Roku devices, but at this rate I'm going to end up spending more on batteries than I did on the devices themselves, and having to throw away this many depleted batteries feels very wasteful.
Thanks for the post and providing your information.

I have read the previous posts on how to correct the remote from draining batteries. I updated my software and that didn't work. So, I think this is the additional info you need. Model 3800x Roku Streaming Stick+ Serial number YH0044542901 device ID 2139A4542901
Thanks in advance for your help with this issue.
