I've changed my pin probably 8 times, can't download anything. I've called and emailed roku. I unfortunately have to leave them a bad review due to this being the only weekend I had free to binge watch. Not sure how this is even acceptable but it's terribly stupid.
Where and what PIN are you updating? It needs to be the PIN associated with the Roku account to which your Roku is linked. Log in to https://my.roku.com, using the email address shown on your Roku via Settings/System/About.
I don’t think Roku accounts have PINs by default, so if you have one, you or whomever owns the account set that up.
