The simple remote for this 65" Roku Philips TV does not turn TV on. We have to do it manually. But, the remote DOES turn TV OFF. There is no pairing feature or red light status. Yes, these are brand new batteries. System has been updated as of 8/26/2024 @ 6:45am. I've tried unplugging TV and plugging back in multiple times but power button will not turn TV on, but button works to turn it off. Will a universal remote work for a turn on/turn off feature, and then use original remote for searching? Or does anyone have a solution for the simple Roku remote?

Most philips components suffer from toggle bit problem, they won't accept the same command twice in a row. So press the volume key before pressing the power key on powering up the TV.
