Re: Shortcut buttons not working

Re: Shortcut buttons not working

@westner, I just tried it and I don't think what you're trying to do is possible.  Roku has really confused the issue of what a "channel" is, but in this case they're referring to what everyone else in the world would call an app.  As far as I can tell, the best you can do with the 1 & 2 shortcut buttons is to set them to launch a particular app.  There's no way to get them to go to a particular "channel" within an app, so if you're viewing that "channel" with The Roku Channel (app) you can only program the button to launch The Roku Channel.

I'd love to hear that I'm wrong about that, but I doubt that's the case.

@renojim YOU'RE WRONG! One of my buttons that I set a long time ago, still works and selects a "channel". When you press and hold the shortcut button, you get an option to chose a "Channel", "The Roku Channel", "Live TV Guide", "Sleep Timer", etc. But if you press the "OK" button after highlighting "Channel", you are taken to the instruction page on how to set the buttons, just as the instruction says. How do you select the "Channel" without pressing "OK"?img_0666a.jpg
