Yesterday, my Roku stopped working. My TV was off all day, and when I turned it on last night to watch some movies, it kept auto-scrolling and wouldn’t stop. I changed the batteries, unplugged everything, and even moved the router's location multiple times, but it still did the same thing. The scrolling only stops if I cover the Roku itself with my hand. Is there a fix for this?

From your "cover the Roku with your hand" comment, am I correctly inferring that this is a separate Roku device connected to a TV, rather than a Roku TV with Roku capabilities built in?

• If covering the Roku with your hand stops it, this implies it is most likely getting a continuous infrared "scroll" command from something.
• Does it still scroll when the batteries are out of the remote?  If it does, then the remote is not the culprit.
• Other sources of infrared interference can be other remotes, fluorescent lights, and even direct sunlight.

Yes, it is a separate Roku device that I plug into the sides of my TV. It does not scroll when the batteries are removed, but the little light inside the Roku receiver continues to flash as if I'm pressing down on the remote.
