I really don't want the same excuse you are giving everyone else about fast draining. I never use you tube and i basically just use my sling app. This has just started to occur in the last few months. I put new batteries in and within about 2wks they start to not work and i move the batteries around and then they work for a day and the next day same problem. Your stating that the remote has to constantly communicates with the Roku device and if your network is congested that can cause constant communication which causes the drain on the batteries. That sounds like a Roku issue. There is no need for the remote to constantly be communicating unless an action is being done by the user with the remote. This is your bug and you are costing us a lot of money replacing batteries. When we are hardly using the remote. I never use the voice option either. No i don't put my remote on a magnet either. I looked at my WIFI network and found i am getting a ton of outgoing pings. I now know without further research its you Roku. i have nothing else on my network that would cause this. Please think long and hard before you respond to me. As im aware how software works.
