Roku Ultra Remote with Headphone Jack Eats Batteries after few days

What is the deal and how do I fix the battery issue with this remote. Got new Roku Ultra last year to use with Frame TV and specifically bought model with headphone enabled remote. Replacing batteries after 2 days... they are brand new batteries. Help!

Make sure you're unplugging the headphones when you're not using them.

You'll see plenty of other people with the same problem.  I don't think there's any one solution.  Perhaps @RokuKariza-D can help.

@tlecrafter

I think short of Roku replacing the remote or purchasing the rechargeable remote (https://www.roku.com/products/accessories/roku-voice-remote-pro), I find using the Roku mobile Remote App (available in Play/Apple store for phones/tablets) the better method for Private listening.  Can basically be charging your phone while using the Private Listening feature if you wish.  Allows you to use either bluetooth or wired depending on the mobile device.

As @renojim mentioned, I have not seen a "fix" short of replacement or using alternate method.
