Im having the same problem. I noticed if i put in regular duracell batteries it works fine. But if i put in duracell power boost batteries it doesn't work properly. Don't understand why that is.

it is the remote that came with the 4K Roku that was purchased 2 years ago. I don't have problems pairing. once I start pressing the buttons on the remote it works one time then malfunctions. If I put other batteries in the remote it works fine. But when I put Duracell power AAA batteries in it will malfunction. it started having problems when I changed batteries and put the Duracell power batteries in it. But now when I reset the 4k Roku stick my Pluto app crashes.
