Remote does not have a menu or settings, now, what ca I do?

it opens only to reader screen?

To start with, are you referring to the remote buttons? Please be advised that to access settings on the Roku remote, you can press the home button and then navigate to the left to see the list of options. Scroll down and look for the settings.
