I have also experienced (long-time) battery drainage and have been unsuccessful with numerous suggestions seen in the forums. The poor performance occurred with our original remote and now a replacement remote.

I have 2 Roku 3941 RW units where the remote eats up batteries every 2-3 weeks.  The Roku units are only 3 months old and we watch TV maybe 2-3 hours a day at most.  I use the Duracell Copper top alkaline batteries.

Can this be corrected or a fix for this issue?

I have the same exact battery issue for a looooong time with multiple remotes and have tried numerous tips on these threads with no luck. What are my options here? I like my Roku but this battery thing is slowly becoming a dealbreaker. Is my best solution to use a competitor's product?

It's the recurring problem. Roku remotes eat batteries up all day, all month and all year. You guys have to know this has been a many years' long problem. How about fixing it so we can stop this nonsense?

And you're not helping them provide an answer. They need to know the model of Roku you have, and what remote you have. That's because different devices have different remotes, and you can purchase a different remote than what comes with the device. The next question depends on the type of remote. If you are using a remote that has a headphone jack, do you use it at all? If so, make sure you remove the ear buds when not in use, as the audio amp is powered up whenever they are plugged in. 

There is no major issue with remote battery life. I have 8 different devices, and none of them exhibit short battery life. But then I don't use the headphone jack, only using them to control the Roku.

Dan, that's BS. There is a problem with their remotes; not all but some and Roku has to know about it. I provided specific remote info previously, as requested, and heard nothing. Why must it be addressed offline and one on one? No headphones, just a TCL TV and the Roku remote. BTW, I have 7, and three have ongoing battery issues. I don't like being negative, but the silence on easy fixes from Roku is deafening.
