My remote sets up correctly and I can hear volume and the next step asks if the music stops and I confirm it. When I watch a program the volume works fine. (There is no mute button on the ultra 1st gen remote).
I use voice command and the remote display says “Muting” on the screen but it never mutes. I have setup the IR remote multiple times and it sets up correctly. It will not work in the non-IR mode.
Any help would be appreciated. Samsung TV if it matters.

I’ve used the remote for about 2 years with my LG tv. I bought one last week for my mom and she has a Samsung TV. They both act identically. No muting from the microphone even though I get the bottom message that says “Muting”.
