Large Remote for Old People

This is a major concern and a perhaps an oversight by Roku. There are many elderly people that would like to use Roku devices, but they can't use the traditional remotes. It's an ergonomic/accessibility problem that disadvantages a large segment of the population. This is a Roku marketing issue and an opportunity for Roku to make their players even more popular.

Re: Large Remote for Old People

Hi @DJW2,

Welcome, and thank you for posting here at the Roku Community!

For this concern, we would actually recommend our Roku tabletop remote that lets you use voice commands or simple button presses to quickly begin listening to music, search for content, or control playback on your Roku streaming player or Roku TV. This battery-powered remote can be placed anywhere you can hear your Roku device. Its structure was made more prominent for easier navigation.

For more information, you can take a look here.

Also, we appreciate this feedback and suggestion; with this detailed information, we'll consider this concern to improve our services in the future. Please let us know if you still have other concerns besides this one that you'd like us to address.

Warm regards,
Janadee
