I have 5 new TCL Roku televisions - 3 different models - installed in a home that I use for short term rentals. If I put the televisions in Guest Mode and turn them off, several days later when I turn them back on the Home button will not respond. All of them do this, so it has to be a firmware / OS problem.
This problem has been posted on this board and on Reddit many times, and the only solution offered is to unplug the TV and plug it back in. That does work, but it isn't practical to expect guests to do that on every TV when they check in. Also, a couple of them are mounted high on the wall and the plug is inaccessible.
If I can't fix this, I'm returning all 5 TVs to the store. This is ridiculous
A warm welcome here at the Roku Community, @LSUEngineer!
We sincerely regret any trouble this may have caused you. No worries. We're here to find you the best resolution possible.
May we know if you checked for any available system updates on all of your TCL Roku TVs? You can manually check it by going to Settings > System > System updates > Check Now. After doing so, try to reset your remote by pressing and holding the Back and Home buttons simultaneously for about 30 seconds and then repair it right after.
If the issue still persists, kindly let us know, and we'll go from there.
Kind regards,
Carly
