I’m attempting to use my phone as the remote for my tv because a dog chewed up my controller… anytime I use the “+ selector” part of the controller on my phone the tv turns off. Doesn’t matter if I go up, down, right, left or click ok. If I use those buttons it shuts off

Update: the volume buttons also turn it off

First thing I would try would be to re-install the Roku app.

Uninstall Roku app from your phone.

Restart your phone.

Install Roku app anew.
