Re: Guide keeps displaying "no information "

Jump to solution

This “No Information” has been an ongoing problem. Roku said they were going to look into it but apparently dropped the ball. Doesn’t anybody from Roku watch tv and see this problem. It happens to me all the time and has for quite some time. That along with the problem with the antenna channels disappearing from the guide altogether. About every other time I go to antenna channels they’ve disappeared  from All Channels so I have to select the All Channels, shut the power off then turn it back on, go to Home Screen and select Live TV… then I may or may not get my antenna channels. If I don’t, I do the whole process over again & cross my fingers it will work. I do this practically daily and it’s a huge inconvenience, same as the “No Information” on the guide. I don’t know why nobody from Roku can seem to fix this. It’s ridiculous! There’s hundreds of complaints on these issues and I don’t understand why nobody fixes them. Either their technicians are too lazy to bother or they just don’t care about their customers.

Re: Roku Device - Channel Guide "No Information"

Jump to solution

Yep - same here, for about a week now.

If watching OTA channels via the "Live TV" guide - either turning the TV on into "Live TV" and/or navigating "Home" > "Live TV" - the channel information "blocks" initially populate with the appropriate information, but within just a few minutes begin losing that same information. Within about a half hour to an hour or so, all channel information is gone - all "blocks" then displaying "No information". The only way to re-populate/refresh the blocks seems to be to click back to "Home" and re-click back into "Live TV".

Choose your shows quickly, though, as the information sometimes seems to even disappear within seconds. In any case, yeah - it's broken. Some software change/update within the past few weeks it appears - shortly after the awful recommendation icon panel was added to the top of the "Live TV" screen.

Roku treats its software like that zit that you just can't leave alone; the more they pick at it, the worse it gets...

Please change this to un-solved to keep it real tidy.

"We'll mark this as solved to keep it tidy!"

or do we need to open a new thread since the mistaken belief that Roku has fixed what they broke??

Re: Roku TV - OTA Channel Guide "No Information"

This is not solved.

Doing any of the 'fixes' is temporary.

10 minutes later and the guide info is gone again.

1 of the less intrusive 'fixes' I found is on the guide screen (I am only showing live TV, not streaming ch.), move the focus to the left column where the channel name is shown, press * then 'sort channel list' by number. The guide repopulates with up to date information but again, it is only for a few minutes.

Attaching the requested info in the event it will help.
