Re: TCL Roku TV refuses to stay connected to Wifi

Jump to solution

There are other topics on the forums about this, and factory reset is reported not to help. One discussion says (as of July) that it will be fixed in a future OS release.  I can say that as of 10/16/2024 OS 13.1.4 build 1512-CG this issue still exists. One TCL forum suggested enabling 'fast start' but that didn't help either.

To Roku Support folk:  you should scour the discussions for the multiple posts on this issue and gather them together (for yourselves) to get a fuller picture of this issue. Unfortunately many people don't scroll looking for their issue they just post a new one

My Roku TV loses connection with my home internet connection every night at almost 9:00-9:15PM.

Jump to solution

The Roku TV works fine, I'll be in the middle of watching something (streaming) and then every night for the last few months, it loses connectivity at almost the same time (between 9-9:15PM Pacific; usually it is around 9:12PM on the dot) every single night! There is nothing wrong with my internet connection.  All other devices remain connected and functioning. It is only The Roku TV

Very frustrating! I am thinking of asking for several months refund from Roku for a service that is intermittent at best.

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it and especially so if you can tell me how to get a hold of real person at Roku.  They do not do a good job at supporting their products.  If I can't find a resolution, I may return to cable or some other type product.

Re: Roku Element TV loosing wifi.

Jump to solution

I've had my 55in Element Xumo TV for almost a year. I continue to have issues with losing my WiFi connection, multiple times within just an hour or so. I recently got a thumb drive and installed an update as seen as a possible solution. I still have the same issue...more often than not I have to restart my TV to reconnect as it will tell me I have the incorrect PW when I attempt to reconnect...it's not the wrong pw, I can see it! Please give a REAL solution to this ongoing issue, it's BEYOND frustrating. I'm including tv info: S#: DC23031215C0000091; Service Code: E500AC55C; Software: 9.11.9 hash:8af6bcedb

Constant dropped connection.

Jump to solution

Almost every time I turn on either of my Roku devices I have to rest my router in order for it to connect to the WiFi again. My signal strength is full strength and speed test is fast. Why is this happening. I have a TLC Roku TV and a 4K Roku box.

After the October 2024 update, my Roku will not connect to anything. I've tried unplugging, restarting the TV and restarting router/Wifi and it still will not connect to cable so I can watch TV. Please help!

Same problem.

Can't update software using a USB either. It says what is installed is newer and I can't downgrade.

@glennna, restart all of your network equipment - gateway/modem/router.  Just unplug the power from everything briefly.
