That’s exactly what is happening with mine. I double checked everything, tried a different WiFi and as soon as I click connect to sent the email, 3 seconds later it automatically says we cannot reach you. Every time
This is currently happening to mine, as well. First it was appletv not working, I removed the app. Now I've factory reset my stick and I'm getting this error. Bet money Roku is having issues and doesn't want to admit it quite yet.

Nothing is working! No QR code, won't take my roku email. Argh! Factory reseted my router my modem the Roku device! Nothing! Guess I'll talk to support tomorrow.

Having this exact problem. With a brand new roku I got delivery 30 mins ago. Had to order this because my previous chromecast stopped working and now this doesn’t work! What’s going on? I tried everything!
Same here, trying to watch Roku Channel and YouTube on the different devices, and both apps error out with “no connection.” Both are connected to WiFi and pass the connection test.
I CAN watch Roku Channel on my mobile device in the Roku App, connected to the same WiFi, so that’s not the issue.
