Re: how to use my ROKU device to replace my DVR/Spectrum Box

Spectrum has a channel (app) in the Roku channel store. Install it and use your Spectrum credentials to log in. Whatever functionality the channel has will be available to you.

Since no one seems to have the answer here it is. Yes Spectrum does offer a DVR Cloud service. You can find it on their website. But it does not support Roku.

What You Need

To use cDVR service, you’ll need the following:

  • Spectrum username.
  • Spectrum Internet service
  • Qualifying Spectrum TV service
  • A supported browser (latest version):
    • Chrome
    • Firefox
    • Safari
    • Microsoft Edge

@AeroSpaceTech

What about later down the page where it says:

Streaming devices:

  • Apple TV 13.0 or higher
  • Google Chromecast 1st Generation or higher
  • Roku 3rd Generation or higher
    • Note: Not seeing the Spectrum TV channel on Roku? Learn why.
  • Xbox One

Doesn't that indicate it does?

You can access your cloud DVR recordings using the Spectrum channel for Roku. Sorry I missed that. Better off with something like YouTube TV or Hulu+ Live TV

To use cDVR service you need to do it via a web browser. To view your recordings you can use a Roku, Firestick or other supported devices. It's kinda confusing from what I am reading

Interesting, I've only now become aware of cDVR with Spectrum, though honestly I'm not a fan of how Spectrum delivers content through their app so I've not investigated any other features than the basic ones that satisfy my dear bride who cares nothing about such things. Also, the 10 bucks a month is just another way of saying rental without a tangible device. At the least, I'm disabused of the notion that Spectrum doesn't provide cDVR.

I called Spectrum. They said that even though I am paying them $9.99/month for "Cloud DVR" they could not tell me how to use it on Roku because they are not trained on it. They said, " Talk to Roku" .

Great! How the Frig do I Talk to Roku???

I have looked everywhere. There is no number to call. Only this stinking Blog **bleep**!

tell me Roku....Can I use Cloud DVR, or not?
