Roku 4k+ express, have wired ethernet connection, do not want wireless connection......IPAD and android phone wireless, downloaded ap. IP address entered manually on both devices...same as on roku about IP address, cannot find device and cannot connect to tv.mirror connectiviity okay on roku,
You don't have to do any IP address anything. You have an iPad? Just use AirPlay.
Android, mirroring isn't so simple. I'm not gonna touch that one. With Android (and iOS) you can easily cast, but not mirror so easily with Android.

Thank you I'll check into airplay and figure out to do it. I'm a PC person not apple so much.
Oh, it's easy. On an iPad, swipe down-left from the top-right. You'll see an icon that looks like a pair of screens. You may confuse it for two links in a chain, if you didn't know better. Touch it, and it says Screen Mirroring. You'll see your Roku devices listed. Touch the one to mirror to.
There is also an AirPlay icon. It has the Roku devices listed, as well as play and volume controls.
Play around with those and get the one that works like you want.

App Store? It's built in to iPad. No app store download needed for AirPlay.

You do not need an AirPlay app to use AirPlay on an iPad. It is built-in functionality.
I say again, you do not need an AirPlay app to use AirPlay with an iPad. It is part of the iPad system. No app is needed.
