Voice Control remote has become non functional in rewind or fast forward. Once engaged it will not stop. I have done all the recommended things. Battery replacement, system upgrade check, system restart, remote pairing to stick. If I press the rewind button it will not stop until it gets back to the beginning of the program and then completely ceases to respond to attempts to play the program. Remote and stick are less than a year old

Thank you for informing us that your Voice Control remote is having issues with the rewind and fast-forward functions. We are here to help you with this.

We suggest resetting your remote by pressing and holding the Back and Home buttons simultaneously for about 30 seconds to reset your remote. After doing so, re-pair it again to see if this will make any difference.

We sincerely appreciate your efforts in addressing the issue with the Roku voice remote. To further assist you, could you please share with us the type of Roku remote you have? Is this the remote that came with that device? If not, kindly specify if this is a Voice Remote Pro or Voice Remote Pro (2nd edition). Also, please provide the serial number of the Roku player to which this remote is paired.

I have the same problem.  It is a volume control remote that came with Roku soundbar.   The remote freezes.  I have to remove and replace batteries to get it to work.

As I originally stated, replacing the batteries does not fix it.

The remote is whatever original equipment voice control unit comes with the Roku Streaming Stick 4K.

To repeat the issue, if fast forward or rewind are started, the function will not stop until the end of the video is reached. Then everything freezes, and the unit has to be turned off. The play button becomes non-operational. Additionally, the pause function does not work during playback. This occurs regardless of the channel (app) in use.
I have changed batteries. I have reinitialized the device. I have unplugged the Stick to restart it. I have checked for software update. I have done everything that the tech support page instructed.
