Thanks for the suggestion. That solution is workable, but I really want Roku to address the situation correctly. I have seen other posts that mention the Streambar Pro working correctly and then suddenly stopping working with the same issues you and I are trying to address. That sounds like a software update with a bug in it.
Having the same issue. Have to unplug the power cord to reset the streambar pro to get it to work. Plugged directly into wall. Started about 3 months ago. SW ver 14.0.
Yes, I believe my S/W version is 14.4. Since your unit was working and now it's not, it must be a Roku software issue. Too late for me. I just boxed EVERYTHING up, Streambar Pro, Subwoofer Bass Pro, wireless speakers remote and all going back to Amazon. I have spent DAYS on the phone, chatting, searching the internet for a solution. Roku is also ignorant of the issue because they sent me a NEW Streambar Pro (can't even buy them anymore) after chatting with them one day for over 4 hours! I bought all this Roku stuff last week and planned to go "all in", total Roku. That plan is no longer happening. Instead, I bought a Roku Ultra and have a new Samsung sound system coming. I have been a huge fan of Roku but my feelings have changed after this ordeal.
I should have returned mine as well. It takes a while for the unit to boot up and then the software is very slow. Like when I click the remote it takes 4-5 seconds for things to happen. I have a Roku stick in my bedroom that started acting up as well which makes me think its a software issue related to power. I use the Spectrum app to watch news at night. When I power on in the morning I get notification "are you still using the spectrum app" but the screen wont change. I know its a setting in the spectrum app to ask that. I have to go back to home screen, highlight the spectrum app, open settings and restart the spectrum app. This just started happening about the same time my streambar acted up. My TCL Roku tv on the patio is perfect and then times more responsive.
