If I am wanting to achieve 5:1 Surround Sound with: my Roku TV, my Roku Streambar, my Roku Subwoofer & Roku Wireless Speakers do I need to use the Roku Streambar to stream and connect audio devices to it or can I use my Roku Tv to stream with wired streambar for sound and connect my audio devices to the tv.
I'm sure I overcomplicated this. In short. Do I run all my audio devices through the Roku TV or the Streambar to achieve 5:1 Surround Sound?
Just plug them all in and follow the on screen instructions for adding the wireless speakers. Pretty simple.
I have them all plugged in, to light pipe, no sound! Is there any other set up or linking?
Hi Community Users,
Welcome to the Roku Community!
Thank you for your interest in setting up 5.1 audio on your Roku device. Please note that currently, you can only unlock additional surround sound configurations, such as 3.1 and 5.1 surround sound, on a Roku TV system by using a Streambar or Streambar Pro.
In the meantime, we completely understand your input and greatly value your feedback, which will help improve Roku streaming devices/TVs as a streaming platform. Rest assured that our team will know this, as your convenience and satisfaction are among our top priorities.
Let us know if there's anything else you'd want us to address. We'd be more than willing to listen and take action as we are committed to finding a resolution to your concerns in the best way we can.
Thanks,

What is a "light pipe"? When you connect the Streambar to the TV, it should go through a setup/update process. Then you might have to go into the devices menu and add the speakers. The system will then go through connecting to the speakers. Once they are all connected, the system will ask you to verify the position of each speaker.
I know most Roku TV’s only support a limited amount of devices. If I have four sets of speakers and stream bar and a subwoofer will I run the devices and stream from the bar or my Roku tv
To achieve 5.1 will all the devices be ran through the Streambar or through my Roku os tv?
Still don't know what a "light pipe" is. Do you have a ROKU brand TV, or other brand? I think the speakers connect through the TV, but it does not really matter as it's all done seamlessly.
I have a Roku Partner TV with Roku OS. I’m not sure what they were referring when they said “light pipe” either. I know most Roku OS tvs won’t allow more than two/three audio devices at once and I will have four. That’s why I was wondering if I should be using the streambar for everything or run everything through the tv’s OS. As per the audio chart 5.1 is only supported while including the stream bar in your setup. If it all figures it out for me that’s wonderful.
