I just received a Streambar for Christmas. How can there be no sleep timer on it? I had to connect my TV with a HDMI and optical, so shutting the TV off with its timer STILL LEAVES THE STREAMBAR PLAYING SOUND!
Not very user friendly Roku. I may be returning this and cancelling my account.

To better understand your situation, could you please clarify which port the Roku Streambar is connected to on your TV? Is it plugged into the HDMI (ARC) port?
