My Roku freezes on the home screen. It is unresponsive to the remote. It works for a while after a system reset. After a while, it stops again.
Is there a solution or do I need to replace my unit?
Hi @Sarry,
Thanks for reaching out to the Roku Community!
May we kindly ask how you are currently powering your Roku device? Is it connected to a wall outlet or the USB port of your TV? There are instances where the power supplied through the USB port of the TV may not be enough to properly power the device. Despite the Roku appearing to be functional, operating with inadequate power can cause instability, unexpected crashes, and other irregularities.
We recommend utilizing the provided power cord and adapter to connect your Roku device to a functioning power outlet in the wall. This method has the added benefit of not requiring your Roku player to power up every time you turn on your TV, resulting in a faster startup time for your Roku player compared to being connected to the TV.
Does this help the issue you are seeing? Let us know.

Both the Roku and TV are plugged into a power strip.
Thanks for following up, @Sarry.
May we ask when the issue started, does it occur after powering on your Roku device or after streaming a channel? We also suggest you re-pair the remote for us to isolate the issue you are experiencing with your Roku device.
