roku stick that I use for traveling

Jump to solution

I am wondering if I should I update my Roku stick? It is not connected at the moment (I have a Roku TV at home) since I am not traveling at this time.  Not sure how to update it here at home since all tvs are Roku.

Thanks for asking, @TrycyaW!

We got your point, and we have a solution for that!

Since your Roku TVs have HDMI ports, you can connect your Roku Streaming Stick to one of them and change the input on your TV to the source where the Roku Streaming was connected.

Here's how:

  1. Press Home on your Roku remote to go to the main screen
  2. Scroll and select Settings
  3. Select TV inputs
  4. Choose the HDMI input where the Roku Stick was connected and add it on the Home Screen if it's still not added. After adding the input, click it from the home screen and your Roku TV will automatically switch to the Roku Stick interface.

Note: You will need to use the Roku TV to change the input, and then switch to your Roku Sticks remote to update your device's software
