Don't you just love how all of these companies that sell you internet connected devices push updates that eventually make your devices useless? Then you have to go out and spend money to buy a brand new product in order for it to function properly.

The company should be sending you free replacements if something they did makes your devices unusable, like software updates that can't run on older hardware. It really doesn't matter how old something is, if you take care of it and it still works you should still be able to use it, it shouldn't stop working or start performing poorly because of an update and then the customer has to upgrade because of it.

If your Roku 3 no longer functions the way it is supposed to because of an update Roku forced on you then Roku should be sending you a free hardware upgrade in the form of a new Roku player, just like they force free software upgrades on all of us.
