@TBayless

Did the channel numbers disappear again for you on the Roku Channel LiveTV guide?

I am still seeing them on OS 12.5 for my devices and RokuTV.

---

Other channels/apps on the Roku platform may or may not have channel numbers for their Live TV as that is up to the channel developer.

The one thing you can count on with Roku is their ability and persistance to constantly disrupt and change the viewer's experience with unwanted/unneeded changes and testing unrequested features on user devices.

It is much easier to mess with the UI than it is to address some of the bugs and hardware issues brought to their attention by users.

The core issue is that Roku is the most popular streaming platform and they are abusing that loyalty and preference as a license to institute their preferences over that of the user.  I have been a bit dismayed over the last couple of years seeing this change in behavior.

I still have the channel numbers and expressed my disdain last time they removed them.  Why they keep doing this to aggravate their users, who knows.

Hello Community users,

We're eager to hear your thoughts and experiences with the new Live TV Guide. Your feedback is invaluable for us as we strive for continuous improvement.

For those wondering about the channel number settings in the Live TV Guide, here's a simple guide:

  1. Go to the Channel logos in your Live TV guide.
  2. Press the * button to access the Channel Options menu.
  3. Choose the "Sort Channel list" setting.
  4. Decide between "As recommended by Roku" and "By Channel Number".
  5. Select your preferred option to make the changes.

By default, the setting is "As recommended by Roku," which hides channel numbers from the Guide display. If you prefer a sequential order with channel numbers displayed, opt for "By Channel Number".

We trust this information is helpful. Should you have any further queries, don't hesitate to ask.

Best regards,
Roku Community Team
