Completely agree with the OP. This new upper pane of entirely undesired and incredibly annoying show recommendations that appears on opening the channel guide (left button press) takes up _two_thirds_of_the_screen_, requires a minimum of two extra button presses to fully access & exit (?!!) the channel guide, and fundamentally _isn't_even_a_channel_guide... it's a worthless space waste of recommendations for which there's already a separate category for 🙄 (and of which I never use anyway).
It breaks existing, relatively fluid functionality (of my televion set, that I bought and paid for with my dollars) in order to shove some un-wanted, likely AI-chosen (cr@p) programming down my/our throats. **That is not at all why one opens the channel guide in the first place.** Cannot devs/management SEE how dis-functional & regressive this change is? Do you even QA these changes, actually using the devices and trying these things out for yourselves?? Apparently not, as the flaws would be obvious if you did.
