Can’t connect to Apple home or airplay

Jump to solution

I’ve been trying to get my phone to airplay to my Roku for a few months now and it’s just not working. Finally got fed up today and I’ve been trying everything, but nothing seems to work. Airplay is turned on, both devices have been restarted, and both are on the same network. My Roku doesn’t show up as a device to be air played to, and I’ve been trying to add it to Apple home but that it’s working either, it just tells me device can’t be found even though I scanned the qr code and entered in the code manually. Both devices are compatible for airplay and Apple home (at least I think), and I just don’t know what to do anymore. I’ve got an express 4k model 3940X. Please help, and thank you

We're glad you're here, @Phoenixx!

Looks like you're having some issues with the Airplay feature on your Roku. No worries, we're here to sort it out!

Here are also a few quick steps you might try and see if it'll do the trick.

  1. Press Home on your Roku remote
  2. Scroll and select Settings
  3. Select Advanced system settings
  4. Select Network connection reset
  5. Select Reset connection

After the network reset is done, your Roku device will restart and you will need to return to the Settings menu and set up your wireless network again. Then, try using the Airplay again and see if that fixes the issue.

Let us know how it went!
