My son has spotify on his cell phone.  The roku streaming boxes show up as available speakers in his spotify app.  When a roku box is selected as the speaker output, it forces the roku box to stop doing whatever it is doing and switch to spotify.  I have removed the spotify app from the roku box but it still does this.  How do I stop this?

We understand you want to block the Roku devices on the Spotify app. We're happy to help. To block a Roku device from Spotify, you can remove it from the list of connected devices:

1. Click the three dots next to the device you want to remove.
2. Select Forget Device.

Please try doing this and see if it helps with what you're experiencing.

John, thank you for responding.  When you say click the three dots are you referring to within the spotify app or somewhere in my roku devices settings?

Is that the only way to do it that your aware of? That means anyone who is on my network and has spotify can take over my roku devices and play their music.  I want to control it from the roku side.  Is that possible?
