Re: air play setup not sure what to do
Hi, @GaryHsr.
We're glad you're here in the Roku Community!
I completely understand you need assistance getting your Airplay working. No worries; let me walk you through the process.
Before you can use AirPlay with your Roku device, check that your Apple device and Roku device are on the same wireless network. Once they are, you can use the steps below to view content on your TV using AirPlay.
- On your Apple device, find the video, song, photo, or podcast you wish to share.
- Tap or click the AirPlay video icon
- Select your Roku device from the AirPlay menu.
For more information on this, you may also watch this video below for extra reference:

We hope this helps. Let me know if you need help with any part of the setup process.
Best,

Re: Having a hard time setting up Airplay
To set up AirPlay with your Roku stick, ensure your laptop and Roku are on the same Wi-Fi network. On your Roku, go to Settings > Apple AirPlay and HomeKit and enable AirPlay. Then, on your laptop, click the AirPlay icon (or Screen Mirroring in Settings), select your Roku device, and follow on-screen instructions. If your Vizio TV is not compatible with newer AirPlay versions, consider using an HDMI cable to connect your laptop to the TV for easier setup. Avoid any phone numbers asking for payment—they’re likely scams.
