One of my sticks has now decided it's a good idea to factory reset randomly whilst on this bug...
Ugh.....
Even this forum is awkward to use, everything Roku is such a bind. Bad taste in mouth.
and to top everything off, this thread has been marked as SOLVED.
Presumably to make the system look good.
That just about sums up Roku. Pretend everything is fine. Carry on.
Bravo for this video. It is October 14, 2024 and this is still happening to us, exactly as shown. We have 13 STRs that are now messed up, just like this. Our guests have different levels of technical expertise but very few can figure this out so, who gets called? Me! Our cleaners used to be good at resetting the TVs if the guests put in the wrong checkout date but, as you can see in the video, it is now too complicated for them. Help!
In the same boat. This is outrageous. They **bleep** well knew they had broken guest mode. A feature they tout. It took me hours of being disconnected repeatedly by Roku tech support gate keepers before someone admitted guest mode was completely broken. And this practice of "let us know every technical detail of your Roku" so they can just close the ticket is insulting. Or when Roku offers troubleshooting tips.for this problem when they know its a problem they created that cant be rectified on the front end. Might I suggest everyone who is reading this go onto Amazon and drop a one star review. Perhaps if we take a dent out of their sales Roku will get the point. This behavior is juvenile.
You wrote "To help with tracking and reference, we'll mark this post as solved."
How exactly does pretending the problem is solved help us?
New firmware is out! Try forcing an update to 14.04.

No no no. Information is good and it is flowing from the wrong direction. Did you push out a firmware update that supposedly rectifies this problem? Pretty sad with all the complaints on here that I have to ask you again instead of you just telling us.
Did this rectify the issue for you? I haven't been able to visit one of my units yet.
14.04 appears to have fixed the issue for me. Time will tell.
No need asking the mods, they don't appear to know about its release.
