Hello. I am watching a movie and when it is over there are several movies that come up at the bottom when the credits are rolling. It says about the next movie. This movie will start in 27 seconds or something like that and it is free.. So when I look for that movie the next time I do a search it comes up on the right but I have to pay for it. It does not make any sense. Why is that? Here is another thing. I can say add the Abc world news or NBC world news but when I try and add those channels for the local news and the shows on there I have to go put in a code and jump through other hoops. Why is that?

A few different issues you may be running into.

The Roku platform gives you access to both free content and premium/subscription content.  Depending on which channel/app you are watching a certain movie/show on, it may show the next one as free.  However, when you search for it later, the channel/app may not be coming up in the Search results, so you are seeing other results/options for playing that movie (but on a channel/app in which that particular movie is not free.)

Try to do a search for the movie you want from within the channel/app you were watching your first movie on (in which you saw the next movie as free).  Each channel/app behaves a bit different, but most have a Search option from within the channel/app. (look around the channel/app a bit for it or post back and a user may be able to point you to it).

Regarding the need for codes that you are running into, those are normally reserved for those channels/apps that require a cable or satellite subscription. (cable/satellite customers may be able to use their Roku devices in lieu of a cable box in order to watch their cable subscription).  Other times, a channel/app may allow some content to be watched by streaming (unlocked content), and then reserve other content (locked) for their cable or subscription customers.
