Closed caption or Subtitle position

When does Roku plan on allowing users to change the location of closed captions/When will Roku enable users to modify the location of closed captions or subtitles? While I can adjust the size, opacity, color, and other settings for closed captions on Roku TV Guide, I can’t change their position or location.

Currently, the closed captions are positioned in the middle of the screen, which is completely unacceptable.

A search on the Roku Community reveals that users have been complaining about this issue for years, yet it remains unresolved. This lack of accessibility option severely hinders the user experience for those who require it. subtitles? Watching a news channel through Roku TV Guide and was able to change the size, opacity, color, etc., but not the position or location of them.

They are now in the middle of the screen. This is absolutely ridiculous and needs to be fixed.

A search on Roku Community shows that users have been complaining about this issue for years, and it still has not been fixed. Poor user experience for those that need this accessibility option.

    Hi Riff-Raff,

    Welcome to the Roku Community!

Thank you for your thoughts. We value your input and understand that you want to change the position of the closed captions on your Roku device.

We love the idea. However, Roku doesn't have this kind of feature yet, and we don't have any information to share about when or if changing the position of the Closed Captions will be available on our platform.

We always aim to provide our customers with the best streaming experience and convenience when using our services. We'll send your suggestion to the Roku team for review.

    Thanks,
    Chel
