Roku Users -
In my research and testing it appears that Android and Windows devices can use Roku's screen mirroring option WITHOUT any local network connection. Doess anyone know if Airplay can work in the same way? No internet and No Access Point or Network router. This would be Peer to Peer networking.
I'd absolutely love to have this feature. I've been a Roku user since the 1st device came out in 2008. I have several players. I've requested this feature by contacting support, but wanted to ask if anyone else knows how to accomplish this or requested this same feature.
Thank you!

Please be advised that you need a Wi-Fi connection to use AirPlay on a Roku device. However, you can use Roku without an internet connection for some features, including Mirroring your phone to Roku, Streaming content from external or local storage, and Downloading content to watch later.
