tcl roku tv doesnt recognise my device

I have a tcl roku tv, i also have a lot of old video games consoles. with my old tv i used a hdmi upscaler to connect the consoles to the tv's hdmi socket without any fuss, but with this roku tv all i get is 'no signal, is it turned on?' I tested the upscaler on another tv and it worked 100% fine. If anyone can help me figure this out i'd appreciate it a lot!

Re: tcl roku tv doesnt recognise my device

Hi! @subzero1970,

Thank you for reaching out to the Roku Community!

Please check that the video cable is firmly connected to the back of your external device and to the HDMI or composite connector on the TV.

If you're encountering an issue with your Roku TV manufactured by a Roku partner, start by contacting your Roku TV manufacturer. Each TV manufacturer provides direct support for their TV models.

You can reach them here. TCL customer support

Thanks,
