Wireless Speakers not showing on devices to connect to...

Jump to solution

I have a Roku Soundbard which I bought on Amazon Spain, at the product info it showed "Works only on Germany" but many people on the reviews said it wasn't true since they use it on Spain without any trouble... I think it's because the product it's banned on Spain or something like that.

However, it worked great and the sound it's amazing for such a small soundbar, so I wanted to add the wireless speakers and improve the sound since I have it connected to a UST Projector, working as a home theater.

Because the speakers were not available on Amazon Spain, I bought it from México and asked a family member to bring it to me, the problem is...

Now when I go to "Add a device" for connection, it only shows Remote, Bluetooth Speakers or Mobile Phone but no the Wireless Speakers or the Subwoofer.

I don't know if it's a thing of European Firmware or just a failure, since I now have the speakers and cannot return them because of the different country I bought it from.

Hope you see this and help me.

Hello! @Millwll,

Thank you for posting in the Roku Community!

We're so glad you contacted us about pairing your Roku Wireless speakers with your Roku Soundbar. We're here to help,

To begin the pairing process, plug a power cable into each speaker and a nearby wall outlet, and listen for the spoken instructions.

Before a speaker is paired to your Roku host device, the spoken instructions are repeated every few minutes. If you wish to hear them again immediately, press the Pair button on the back of the speaker.

https%3A%2F%2Fimage.roku.com%2Fc3VwcG9ydC1B%2Fbuttons-on-speaker-rear

The speaker will ask you to perform the following steps to put your Roku host device into pairing mode.

  1. Make sure your Roku host device is powered on
  2. Press and hold Home on your existing Roku remote for 5 seconds
  3. Select Wireless speakers
    • Tip: You can also put your Roku device into pairing mode by selecting Settings > Remotes & devices > Set up a new device.

After you complete step 3, you can follow along with the steps on your TV screen, or continue reading this article for a more comprehensive set of instructions.

When your Roku host device is in pairing mode, it automatically detects and pairs each speaker, one at a time. After the few moments it takes to pair and update each speaker, the process will move to the step below automatically.

  1. A sound will play in only one of the speakers. While facing the TV screen, identify which speaker the sound is coming from.
  2. Select the speaker location from the list
  3. After you assign a value, a sound will play in the next speaker. Follow this same process until all speaker locations are assigned.

Your wireless speakers are now paired. With a Roku TV, they are configured for stereo sound. With a Streambar or soundbar, they are configured for surround sound.

If you encounter any other issues during setup, learn more about what to do to resolve other issues when pairing your Roku wireless speakers.

Thanks,
Arjiemar

I basically have the same, streambar bought and useed in Germany.

"Now when I go to "Add a device" for connection, it only shows Remote, Bluetooth Speakers or Mobile Phone but no the Wireless Speakers or the Subwoofer."

Same for me. Does that mean I won't be able to add wireless Roku speakers at a later date?

Thanks etc

Hi, could you possibly read my post and the OP before replying.

I did say about adding speakers at a later date. That should tell you I don't have these speakers yet.

I have the same as the OP:

"Now when I go to "Add a device" for connection, it only shows Remote, Bluetooth Speakers or Mobile Phone but no the Wireless Speakers or the Subwoofer."

Streambar bought in Germany, used in Germany.

Add on wireless speakers not mentioned on the German Roku site.

Not available on Amazon Germany.

Does that mean if I were to somehow get the wireless surround speakers or sub woofer it would or wouldn't be possible to connect them?

Does that make sense that I'm asking before buying them?
