I have several roku voice remotes that all successfully pair with my 32'' TCL Roku TV running 14.0.4 Build 12221. None of these remotes pair with my new 58" Hisense Roku TV also running 14.0.4 Build 12221. I've entered the "Platform Secret Screen" which is accessible via the following button sequence:
Home Button x5
Fast Forward
Play/Pause
Rewind
Play/Pause
Fast Forward
From the "Platform Secret Screen" I can watch, with a little more verbosity, as the pairing process takes place. The screen will say "Pairing: Now" as well as "Pairing with **:**:**:**:**:**" (The remote's MAC address) Followed by "Pairing ended with..."
This is when the two deviate. The tv that works shows the remote attempt to and successfully connect and lists the remote as connected. The tv that doesnt work, shows no connection attempt and shows <No connected remotes>
I have attempted this procedure with two (2) different voice remotes (both of the AAA powered variety) with the same results. I have power cycled both the tv and remotes multiple times in various orders, switched from my 5Ghz network to my 2.4Ghz network. The new tv refuses to finish the pairing process. I dont believe the issue lies with the remote or my network since the other tv pairs fine with both. I really would like to get this working since the IR remote that came with the tv does not work without line of sight. (As per the limitations of IR tech)
P.S. Please do not respond with boiler plate remote pairing instructions available already on this support website as i have already attempted them all. Plus as stated i can successfully pair with my other roku tv so it is not an operator error. Thank you.
The only thing I can suggest is to unplug the power from any other Roku TV/device you have while attempting the pairing. I've had issues with trying to pair a remote to a new device that was already paired to a different device.

I've had problems with this as well. One thing that worked for me was pairing as a new device rather than going straight to pairing the remote.
