I can’t get out of the Hulu app on my Roku TV. I’ve tried unlinking my device and re-linking it and when I relinked it, the Hulu app immediately re-started. I can’t even turn off my tv. When I turn it off, the Hulu app immediately starts up again. I can’t get to the homepage to restart or anything since it just immediately goes back to Hulu. How do I resolve this issue. I also tried unplugging and plugging my tv back in, and nothing is working
Somewhere on your TV is a reset button.
find it and hold it in a good 30 seconds.
Update: I was able to factory reset it and it after a few moments, it still went back to Hulu screen.
probably wasnt a Factory Reset but a System restart.
Hold the button in longer.
If you are using any sort of MicroSD memory pull it out.
How old is the TV?
If you succeed with a Factory Reset I would open a different account.
My 55 inch Roku goes straight to Hulu and does not respond to remote. I also turned it off and unplugged it. Still goes to Hulu when I turn it back on. I read that perhaps pushing reset button would help. Can’t find reset button
@REW631, the reset button is somewhere on the back; every TV is different. If you take the batteries out of the remote (assuming it's not rechargeable), does it still happen?
My TCL Roku TV is doing the same thing, only with the Roku Channel. I’ve had it for almost 3 years. My remote control wasn’t working, so I changed the batteries and it works now. My TV is no longer responding to it. It keeps making that “magic wand” type noise, as if you were to switch channels by pressing the ESPN button on the remote (for example), but it just stays on the Roku Channel and nothing happens. The light underneath the logo that lights up when you turn the TV on is flickering. This has never happened before. I unplugged the TV and it’s still doing it. I don’t know where the reset button is. What is going on here?
