Mine started this same exact thing 10/21. Can't be just coincidence that ALL the TVs are taking a **bleep** at the same time regardless of age! It had to be the update. I've also tried unplugging, resetting, new outlet, etc. No difference but when performing reset it goes into recovery mode and stays on through the "update" and then goes back to turning off and on.

Today our TCL Roku TV is stuck in recovery mode. We have tried all the things with unplugging and plugging, reset, USB method said it was a downgraded system from what we have so couldn’t use it. WiFi rebooted as well. The only other choice on screen besides upgrade now which leads to usb, is restart. Did that and start up screen would come up and go off for awhile and then would land us right back to recovery screen. Can’t check current version since no Home Screen. Other id numbers in photo.

@PuppyNest @That’s what mine done and was like it for 3wks contacted where I bought it from got full refund
Was yours working at first? We have had ours for like 6 months and it has been quirky but not stuck like this until today. I was thinking there is a problem with a new update that is not loading.
@PuppyNest @Yeah mines was working then a went to turn it on one day and that started happening and that was that. So a would go back to where u got it from as no one seems to be getting any help from anyone else. It’s worth a try and if it’s only 6months old that should be fine
HELP! I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. STUCK IN RECOVERY MODE. I HAVE READ AND TRIED ALL THE KNOWLEGE BASE RECOMMENDATIONS AND STILL THE TV WILL NOT BOOT TO THE OPERATING SYSTEM.

Yay, problem fixed. We tried the reset with the pin while everything was plugged in and turned on. Takes about 10 minutes pressing it and then light flashed. Then we got the Let’s get started page to get it linked to our network. Added our apps and it did 74 updates but didn’t take long. TV fine after that no problem streaming. My husband said it is tricky to hold it in the right place to reset.
