TV sleep function question

Jump to solution

I have a roku 3 and like to use the sleep function on my TV at night. Do episodes keep playing one after the other on Netflix and Hulu after the TV is off? I'm worried about using too much data.

Hi @kerdagoan.

Welcome and thank you for posting here at the Roku Community!

We appreciate you for reaching us regarding your questions about the features that your Roku streaming device have.

A Roku device may continue to stream unless the device is returned to the Home screen before you turn your TV off.

However, there is a feature called Bandwidth saver to help you avoid using too much of your data and here's how to enable it:

  1. Press Home on your Roku remote
  2. Scroll and select Settings
  3. Select Network
  4. Select Bandwidth saver
  5. Choose On

Here's the Support link for further details: How to use Bandwidth Saver to avoid going over your internet data cap

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to let us know and we'd be more than happy to continue assisting you.

All the best,

Carly
