Hi.
I've searched all over for a remedy but my TV will not find the JBL soundbar I thrifted. I can connect to it with my phone so I'm thinking it's nothing wrong with the soundbar but the TV.
Any tips?
Hi @Technicoly,
Welcome to the Roku Community!
We see that you're having an issue connecting your soundbar to your Roku TV, and we'd like to help.
Let us know if this works for you. How do I connect a Bluetooth® device to my Roku® device?
Please keep us posted on what you find out.
Thanks,
Rey
Welcome to the Roku Community, @breedy!
We appreciate you reporting the issue with your JBL Bluetooth speaker and are here to help.
Please note that Bluetooth devices can be directly connected to a Roku Plus Series TV. If you have a different Roku TV model, you must pair Roku Wireless Speakers or a Roku TV Wireless Soundbar to add Bluetooth capability to your TV.
If your speaker cannot connect to your Roku device, we recommend using an HDMI splitter to separate the audio output. You can then connect the audio to the self-powered speaker(s) and the HDMI output to the monitor.
In the meantime, you can still use the Official Roku Mobile app as a workaround. Here are how-to headphones with the Roku mobile app for Headphones or Bluetooth mode.
We would recommend trying to see if that resolves your issue. Please keep us posted.
Thanks,
Jharra
